MITS Welcomes New Board Member
The Museum Institute for Teaching Science is pleased to announce that Paul D. Fucile, Senior Engineer in the Department of Physical Oceanography at Woods Hole Institution, has joined the Board of Directors. Paul Fucile will bring his engineering knowledge to help MITS address the “E” in STEM.
Fucile has been a prolific writer of technical papers dealing with underwater optical recordings and communication systems. He is the holder of two patents with two more applications in process. He is currently working on STEM, Stellafane, Springfield, VT, Rosetta – Philae Outreach Project and as Mentor to the Lemelson-MIT InvenTeam in Concord H.S., Wilmington, DE. He also has participated for many years in a summer camp working on astronomy and making telescopes with the campers.
The MITS staff and Board are pleased to have Paul Fucile join the Board of Directors and look forward to working with him.
MITS is a not-for-profit corporation that collaborates with formal and informal education institutions to provide STEM professional development opportunities for K-12 teachers and non-profit organizations across Massachusett.
